BASIC Fingerings

  • Use the arrows to scroll through the different saxophone finger positions in ascending order.
  • The red keys are the ones needed to produce the note shown.
  • In the bottom right corner there is the fingering name or description as is most commonly used.
  • I have included the most common enharmonic note positions. (e.g. both Db and C#)

the complete chart

Use the link here to support me by downloading the complete saxophone fingerings charts.

The full version in addition to the basic positions includes:

  • Alternative positions
  • Pitch corrective positions
  • Common Altissimo/toptones positions

I have tried to make these charts as clear as possible to read, in a way that leaves little doubt about where each key is located.

The positions names in the bottom right corner have been very useful for me and my students and I advice to start using them and notating them on your music sheets during your practice.

Its especially useful as a way for saxophonists to effectively communicate different fingering choices.
