Dimos Palamidas is a Greek-born saxophonist based in the Netherlands.

He is a graduate of the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia (GR) where he studied saxophone under Professor Athanasios Zervas. At the same time he obtained his saxophone diploma studying in the class of Thanos Fisekis in his home city of Volos. He acquired his Master of Music degree on saxophone performance at HKU conservatorium (Utrecht), where he studied under prof. Johan van der Linden, while doing a minor on composition with Anne-Maartje Lemereis

He has been a member of various groups, each with a distinct vision such as: Ensemble Sexteto Recuerdo, Kypseli Quintet, DEDEO saxophone quartet and member of the Greek Saxophonists Association.

His professional activities include performing either solo or with different ensembles, arranging, composing, and teaching saxophone in Greece and the Netherlands.

He is primarily focused on the Alto and Baritone saxophones which serve him as an explorer of contemporary music, classical, minimalistic and jazz, as well as improvising and working with interdisciplinary concepts.

He has attended masterclasses with masters of the instrument such as: Claude Delangle, Asya Fateyeva, Nicolas Prost, Arno Bornkamp, Jean-Marie Londeix, Nikita Zimin, Theodoros Kerkezos, John Sampen and more.
